Weekend Moving, and Jasmine's Birthday

Feb 8, 2010
This past weekend was a busy one! Jasmine moved her "Stuff" from my house in Modesto, down to her new apartment in Fresno. This is the very first apartment that she has totally on her own. No housemates, roommates, or any other shared living condition....

Narcissistic Sundays #11: My Time With The Feds

Feb 7, 2010
My New Job My job with Federal OSHA was in West Covina. I of course had no car and lived in Upland which is about 16 miles to the east of West Covina. I chose an apartment in Upland because the office was supposed to move to Upland shortly. To get...

Curse of the Ugly Beads Part 2

Feb 6, 2010
A Desperate Note From Norm: At first, I was really happy. Sig gave me this jar of “beads”. She said that someone suggested that I use them to make a little brick walkway with them. I thought about it, and thought a better idea would be to use...

Curse of the Ugly Beads

Feb 4, 2010
I don’t know what possessed me to buy these butt ugly, worthless, useless beads. It must have been some Demon of Bad Judgment who possessed me, or perhaps I had a moment of insanity, or maybe I had more money that day than I knew what to do with...

I Love Them All!

One of my favorite designers at it again! I love the wit, humour and insight Sig offers in this oft wacky and irreverent look into her world and the world of beads. The Mystery Monday is amazing, that an artist of this caliber would offer us a free pattern is just beyond words. My only complaint would be, as in her previous writings with the Cracked Bead, she still seems to overlook the fact that many of us bead addicts are, in fact, men. I love her caustic wit, her insight and her ravings, I just wish once in a while she'd address us low life men as well as her bead "sisters." Thanks Sig for all you give the beading community, including this great blog!

Love the idea of Mystery Monday! So of course, I gotta give a rating of 10! :) Haven't done the beading yet as I just got on here yesterday. I've gotten all pattern for the first mystery. Will have to get some beads for mystery #1 & #2. Looking forward to them! :)
