Guest post: 5 new rules for dealing with race at work

Oct 3, 2008
Rule 1: Don't be colorblind. People say this all the time: "I don’t care if people are black, brown, purple, or polka-dotted. I don’t notice color!”

Intentional non-productivity is a productivity tool

Oct 1, 2008
Almost 95% of Jews do something to observe Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. I want my kids to be part of this when they grow up, so the only way to do that is to model it for them now.

Vulnerability is the key to likability at work (and on the farm)

Aug 26, 2008
This is the last thing I should be writing on my blog. Because it's now clear that the blog is a great dating tool. Propositions all the time. So I should not tell you this, but here it is: It turns out that I'm a lousy girlfriend. Not the bad in bed...

Don't be a snob about career advice

Nov 16, 2009
I have found that the best way to manage myself is by asking for a lot of help. The question is, how do you know who to take advice from? The answer is not always intuitive. For example, you'd think that if Bill Gates wants to give you career advice,...

How to make business travel manageable

Nov 11, 2009
Last year I traveled almost every week. Some weeks I traveled to three different cities. If you are excited about business travel, thinking it’s a free ticket to see the world, you should stop reading now. But if you are having trouble maintaining...

excellent
Really needs a better review than the editors have given. While she may lose points on the frequency of updates criteria, she is always dead on with her career advice. This is information consultants charge for and she's giving it away. Even if the site was written on the back of a paper bag it would be worth your time.
