  I was origionally attracted to this blog by the name, CADFAEL, being a great fan of MYSTERY and of Brother Cadfael. I am also in the process of working on a few novels,one of which opens in a Benedictine Abbey outside of Rome in the early 13th Century, with the principal character being the monk/pharmacist at the Abbey. Notwithstanding the relatively superficial reasons for which I visited this blog, the reasons I stayed have to do with choice of subject and the intelligence of the treatments.
