New bathroom

May 23, 2009
Yes, we hope to redo our bathroom in July. This is the fourth time I have been hospitalized in ten years and had to have help each time around the bathroom. Can't step over the bathtub unassisted...

A lovely day - might have done too much

May 23, 2009
I felt so good on Friday morning that I baked Rik a batch pf snickerdoodle cookies, readall the paper, did the crossword, took a short nap and puttered around the house until 11:30 when A picked...

A niceFriday

May 16, 2009
Despite having a broken door lock on the front door, yesterday was a very nice day. We discovered the broken lock on Thursday and realized the only way into the house was through the back door....

Enjoying the sun

Nov 3, 2009
We've had a couple of sunny days in Seattle lately. The mornings at least are bright and I love walking the dogs to get my daily dose of (external) vitamin D. Sadly I then focus on household stuff, errands etc. and haven't taken advantage of the less...

I spoke too soon

Nov 2, 2009
My arm felt uncomfortable in the sleeve by late afternoon yesterday, so I am afraid I spoke too soon about no longer bandaging. I wrapped my arm again last night, perhaps a little too tight since I was worried about the after-effects of the night...

Oct 30, 2009
Yesterday the stars were aligned for my errands. I decided to go downtown to get my driver's license renewed, after trying unsuccessfully to renew online and via the US Postal Service. The timing on this was important, since I also had to be at the...

Jill's journey offers us a take charge attitude, great information and a reassuring approach to life after diagnosis. What I like so much about this site is that Jill is not someone who has let cancer define who she is. Cancer is something that happened to happen to Jill, who remains an interesting and intelligent woman living a very busy life!
