May 23, 2009
Yes, we hope to redo our bathroom in July. This is the fourth time I have been hospitalized in ten years and had to have help each time around the bathroom. Can't step over the bathtub unassisted...

A lovely day - might have done too much

I felt so good on Friday morning that I baked Rik a batch pf snickerdoodle cookies, readall the paper, did the crossword, took a short nap and puttered around the house until 11:30 when A picked...

No more mammagrams for women age 40?

Nov 20, 2009
It's been all over the news, the recent recommendation that women between the ages of 40 and 50 no longer need to have a mammogram, and women over 50 can have one every other year instead of every year. Plus there is now a recommendation that women no...

Rainy Seattle days

Nov 19, 2009
It's a typical Seattle November -- cool if not outright cold, rainy, grey, overcast, windy. It's hard to go outdoors when the weather is so miserable, so I have been trying to focus on in-home tasks since my family left on Monday. (Of course, the fact...

Jill's journey offers us a take charge attitude, great information and a reassuring approach to life after diagnosis. What I like so much about this site is that Jill is not someone who has let cancer define who she is. Cancer is something that happened to happen to Jill, who remains an interesting and intelligent woman living a very busy life!
