Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.O say, does that star-spangled banner yet waveO'er the land of...

I tell you I have had the worst luck with my plants this year. Yesterday a tile fell off the roof and as luck would have it, it smashed into a flower planter loaded with flowers and broke the thing! GRRR! I tell you Murphys Law is in effect around here in a big way. Yesterday I worked outside for 4 hours and now Im rather sore. It's a good kind of soreness though so I wont complain. Every spring I...

Oh dear reader, I've been reading your blogs through google reader but I just haven't had the time to make my rounds. How do you all keep blogging through the busyness? And some of you have such thought provoking posts going on. I just wish I could sit down with a cuppa and visit with you all. But no, nature calls, and the summer work plods on relentlessly.Ya gotta love summer though. Every morning...

Sometimes husbands just know what to do to make their wives happy; other times it seems they haven't got a clue. Last night was one of the times my husband did it all right! We had an excellent dinner at The Outback. While we were sitting there waiting for our dinner the waitress appeared with a gigantic bouquet of flowers and a card tucked in them. My dear husband had prearranged all this and I co...

We were tucked away in this little cabin in the woods and life was good. Our friends both had cabins beside us. Another friend was across the footbridge in their RV. I was in charge of dinner Friday night when we arrived. That suited me just fine! That meant that the...

I feel like Mrs.Darling has invited us all in for coffee. We sit around her kitchen table & discuss our kids, husbands, and homes. She irons out our wrinkles with a gentle hand, and lifts us up when we've fallen down. She offers sage advice, comfort, and laughs.
