Indeed, I believe this decision is the best ruling for gays in many years, perhaps even more significant than Lawrence v. Texas, the decision overturning sodomy laws.
Last night at the SLDN fundraiser, I did my utmost to stay silent when various participants maligned Republicans and “the right.” Though when one person suggested the Club for Growth had an anti-gay agenda, I blurt out that just wasn’t so. Just one...
Last night, I attended a Los Angeles-area fundraiser for the Service Members Legal Defense Network (SLDN), a group “dedicated to ending discrimination against and harassment of military personnel affected by“Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT).” They also...
I never thought I’d be grateful for anything my state’s hyper-partisan junior Senator has said or done, but it seems Mrs. Boxer is bound and determined to prevent Obamacare from passing. According to law professor William A. Jacobson, Ma’am...
At some point, I will have to blog about the consideration I have given to runnig against my big-spending Congressman Henry Waxman, a man who has spent 35 years representing Hollywood while doing nothing to stop the steady drain of entertainment jobs...
More than eighteen years ago, a Congresswomen from the San Francisco Bay area led a group of her Democratic female House colleagues in marching across Capitol Hill to demand a delay in the confirmation hearings of then-Judge Clarence Thomas. That...
If any blog encompassed by support for gay marriage, religious freedom and federalism, its Gay Patriot. No other blog that I read hits the gay marriage debate right on the head.
The blog has far less to do with being gay than it does with being conservative or center-Right. 1 in 10 posts are about gay issues not related to political affairs. It has none of the usualy gayLeft's posting of sexually seductive people or tawdry links to porn; which is why gayLeft blogs prosper.
After reviewing several of the discussions on here, it seems that the only reason it has "Gay" in it's title is because it tends to focus slightly more on gay issues than the usual right-wing blog. If the people posting are mostly gay, I'm assuming they're keeping lots of therapists in business. Unlike most liberal gay bloggers who inhabit a smug fantasy world, these people seem to have a self-loathing that buys into the same type of eloquent but specious reasoning that George Will usually spouts.
Having not read everything that interests me yet,(such an amazingly large number of articles in the archives...)I can't beleive the number and diversity of the articles!Refreshing to have actual discussion based on intellect and not feelings, and without the usual talking points that the average gay person spouts! Thanks.
