Indeed, I believe this decision is the best ruling for gays in many years, perhaps even more significant than Lawrence v. Texas, the decision overturning sodomy laws.
If, in the immediate aftermath of the 2008 election, you had asked me to put together a broad-based panel on reviving the right, I would surely have chosen to include David Frum. Yeah, I know he had been strongly critical of John McCain’s choice of...
Long before the 2008 presidential campaign, I found CBS News Anchor Tracy Flick Katie Couric annoying. Like Reese Witherspoon’s character in the 1999 flick Election, Couric comes across as smug and self-righteous. It seems she believes that her...
When a reader sent me an e-mail on how Sarah Palin’s ex-son-in-law-to-be was not made welcome at a swank Hollywood Party this weekend, I begin to feel sorry for the teenager:
Levi Johnston flew first class to LA for the party and calls himself...
While I’m up in San Francisco spending Thanksgiving with the most important person in the state, I’ll be organizing a brunch for our readers next Saturday, November 28. Given that reader Leah will also be in the Bay Area and wants to see the Asian...
Maybe those climatologists who had predicted ever-increasing temperatures wouldn’t be puzzled by the failure of global temperatures to keep rising had they not relied on doctored data. When someone hacked into “a major global-warming advocacy center...
If any blog encompassed by support for gay marriage, religious freedom and federalism, its Gay Patriot. No other blog that I read hits the gay marriage debate right on the head.
The blog has far less to do with being gay than it does with being conservative or center-Right. 1 in 10 posts are about gay issues not related to political affairs. It has none of the usualy gayLeft's posting of sexually seductive people or tawdry links to porn; which is why gayLeft blogs prosper.
After reviewing several of the discussions on here, it seems that the only reason it has "Gay" in it's title is because it tends to focus slightly more on gay issues than the usual right-wing blog. If the people posting are mostly gay, I'm assuming they're keeping lots of therapists in business. Unlike most liberal gay bloggers who inhabit a smug fantasy world, these people seem to have a self-loathing that buys into the same type of eloquent but specious reasoning that George Will usually spouts.
Having not read everything that interests me yet,(such an amazingly large number of articles in the archives...)I can't beleive the number and diversity of the articles!Refreshing to have actual discussion based on intellect and not feelings, and without the usual talking points that the average gay person spouts! Thanks.
