Growing up with my Granny living with the family, there was never a shortage of fresh food and baking in the house. I remember my brother and I baking Victoria sponges with Granny from an early age, arguing over who got to scrape out the reminder of the cake mix, out of the mixing bowl. Happy Times... Baking everything from buttercream filled sponges to blackcurrant tarts for the family, to batches of hundreds of mince pies and scones for school fetes. Coming home to the smell of fresh baking and good, hearty homecooked food everyday, its no wonder that I caught the food bug. For me, food is my passion, any shape or form, using the best-quality produce, supporting local farmers and producers; but it is baking where my heart truely lies. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone's face light with a beautifully decorated cake, and the smile that spreads across as the flavours take over their mouth. Happy Food...
