I find it odd that some people don't enjoy chiptunes. I mean, I always endeavor to be a different-strokes-for-different-folks kind of a cat, but what's not to love?
Typically, the criticisms I hear of the genre fall into one of two distinct groups....
I am a creature of habit.
Any who regularly read Hipster, please! have no doubt come to anticipate my unique brand of consistency. Nerd News in Brief posts always start with a dash of unrelated bullshit, and each item contains a smart-ass headline. My...

Hipster please is the best music and geek culture blog that I read. Z, its primary author is both immersed in the subject matter and a fantastic writer, well-practiced from his career in tech journalism. The writing style has a superior ratio of signal to noise while still being an entertaining, enjoyable, and immersive read. I get a fresh and complete look into the worlds of nerdcore hip hop, chiptunes, wizard rock, and all forms of geeky music entertainment all from this blog. Hipster Please provides links to a multitude of relevant sites and producers offering free and new content, aggregating information of interest to me from dozens of sources I could not read myself. Hipster Please, and its companion podcast Radio Free Hipster constitute an invaluable music resource to me.
