ASCAP couldn't not have timed this event any better--one day before the anticipated BET Awards and during the only other month dedicated to black culture and history. If you didn't know, June is Black Music Month according to.... Why even bother wondering who deemed it such? Everyday is a good day to celebrate black history and music.
