Tie one on Tuesday – cupcakes!

Nov 17, 2009
We finished another apron, and it is SO cute! I am experimenting, once again, with a half apron pattern. This one I created myself. And I may have even found an apron that flatters those of us that are not skinny! The trick is in the gathering. While...

Mini Quilt Monday – A Christmas quilt!

Nov 16, 2009
I recently finished a Christmas quilt; it is not exactly a mini quilt, but it is smaller than bed size: Its construction was very simple; its finished measurements are about 51″ by 51″, and each block is somewhere around 9″ or so. I pieced it, and the...

Fall craft show wares

Nov 14, 2009
Today we had the opportunity to be vendors at a craft show. This was our first opportunity to do this (I have been a vendor for other things before), and I am pretty clueless as to how to make our booth beautiful. As you can see in the photos, I...

Sewing, not quilting: Tie One On Tuesday?

In my professional opinion, I would use the turquoise because it picks up and bring out the small specks of the turquoise colors, where as the black tones it down too much. The turquoise also brings out the color scheme as a whole, in other words it complements all the bright colors, and brighten the brown color to make it stand out as well. Ann Carter
