In Search of Maxim

This blog records the memories of a past life in the Soviet Union from ca. 1940 - 1970. Those memories have come to the foreground recently, and since they are so vivid and detailed I wish to chronicle them and my search for validation. Comments welcome!

Twelfth Night

Feb 5, 2010
This memory was brought on by a song, and it ties in with the last one I posted - I sensed that I would soon remember more about the old man, and indeed I did! One of the many songs by Vladimir Troshin I have has always fascinated me, and since I...

An old man

Feb 2, 2010
I don't know what to do with this flashback, how to place and classify it - but I'll post it anyway, since it was very intense and I may find a connection in the future. Maksim is still rather young, in his early teens. The flashback must be set in...

Дневник (The day-book)

Jan 23, 2010

Тучи над городом встали

Jan 12, 2010
I've always liked the song "Тучи над городом встали" ("Clouds have risen over the city") by Mark Bernes, and it has always struck a chord with me - no doubt it did so for Maksim as well. (For those that don't speak Russian, the song...

A dead man's photograph

Jan 11, 2010
Had this flashback as I was driving today, thinking of nothing...Maksim is sitting at the table, possibly on this day. In front of him is the cardboard box with the letters, and as he goes through them he finds something else - a photograph. It shows...

excellent
The blog holds the key to the mystery of human consciousness - after our bodies die, our consciousness remains, to be aware of the world through yet another pair of eyes. What we're reading here is validation in minutest detail of a past life. Historical accuracy, not from a text book, but from flashbacks. Worth reading every word and then contemplating life's journey. Michal
