My dearest friends, it'd be a very short post as I am going to go to Hong Kong for a visit. I'll miss you all, and look forwards to "seeing" you when I return in the end of August. These crepes are spreaded with white chocolate cream (store-bought), stacked up high, and cut to smaller pieces by a copper cookie cutter.Remember I just made the cherry sauce in the previous post? This time I added in so...

Foam on coffee, golden color on the bottom of pie... something that my husband insists to see in food. For cupcake, I don't like it too big, full or fat, but I like it tall. Flat-top seems look more elegant than a cracked face. I have chosen butter cake in this first experiment, just for safe, since it is less temperamental. I placed a regular cupcake paper into a flan cup for the batter climbing h...

After I started blogging, I realize that some people don't take certain food due to health reason or diet progrom. Lose, or gain? Last year, I suddenly got an allergy, I can't take fresh apple. This trait keeps on and extends to peach and apricot, which are my top favorites. Interesting enough, I'm okay to take them as long as they're baked. A good thing about fruit in pie or tart, it has better to...

Back to our life in New Jersey... our landlord, a very old lady, lived right next to us. So she told me to get a big pastry or cake, which was in a ring shape, with fruit preserve. Sounded terrific! Then...

Having been living away from parents for so long, one thing not very good is, no one to remind me to eat more health food. Always in the streets or on bus in Barcelona, I see people snack on mandarine oranges or sunflower seeds, good vitamine, good fiber! I used to eat them too, but that was a long long time ago... my mom will totally disapprove what I have for breakfast - a chocolate bar and a cup...

I have visited tons of cooking blogs lately. This one is really great. You see I come from a long line of cooks, Italian American ones, who believe that everything is made from scratch. When I read the calzone recipe and then the sardine and olive stuffed pizza, I got homesick! Real Italian food just as I know it. I would love to be in her kitchen ;)
