Mariners Ace Felix Hernandez in Serious Contention for Cy Young Award

Aug 22, 2009
Obviously, there is a problem with the commenting function on our blog posts and the comments are not being posted. Have advised the people in charge and I'm sure they will fix it ASAP. By this...

Still Waiting for the Real Felix Hernandez to Become Staff Ace of the Mariners

May 20, 2009
Now that everybody is nice and worked up this morning over Felix Hernandez, I'll throw some more logs on the fire. I still can't understand why so many baseball fans in Seattle are so quick to set...

Lester Dominates; Ramirez Lectured By Traffic Cop

Nov 30, 1999
The Boston fans in the crowd here, and there were thousands of them at Safeco Field tonight, erupt as Jonathan Papelbon and company jog back to the dugout after ending a wild eighth inning. Seattle loaded the bases with one out off Jon...

Marco Scutaro confirms Mariners have approached him

Nov 28, 2009
ADDITIONAL NOTE 8:03 p.m.: It seems that today's story is causing all kinds of fuss down in Texas, where fans are wondering why the Rangers would be pursuing Marco Scutaro at third base when they already have Michael Young. It's a good question, so...

Millions of reasons for Mariners to give thanks ahead of the winter meetings

Nov 27, 2009
We're just over a week away from the start of the baseball winter meetings and the Mariners will be looking to make a slew of additions to their roster. Some items of need include, but are not limited to, a new third baseman, first baseman, No. 2...

Josh Wilson opts for free agency

Nov 25, 2009
Well, at least we won't have to worry about confusing the two "J. Wilson'' names on the lineup card anymore. Mariners infielder Josh Wilson (the player on the right in the photo above), outrighted to Class AAA last Friday, has declined to accept that...

Mariners prospect Joe Dunigan named to Topps Class A All-Star team

Nov 25, 2009
Some more good news for the Mariners where their minor leaguers are concerned. We've told you before how good the squad's Class A High Desert affiliate was in 2009. Well, lefty-hitting first baseman Joe Dunigan (on the left in photo) was good enough...

Erik Bedard already has some free agent suitors

Nov 25, 2009
Bet most of you forgot about this guy, huh? In all of the off-season discussion I've heard about what the Mariners have to do, the name Erik Bedard seldom comes up. That's understandable, given how no one is certain exactly when he'll make it back to a...

good
Certainly a highly touted blog, when connected to the paper it represents, but Geoff Baker's articles are often poorly put together, ill-suited as pieces of opinion and more often than not, factually in error on basic "happenings" in the M's clubhouse. If you want to see some ridiculous comment debates, this is the place to go. Otherwise, steer clear.
