According to Omar Minaya on the SNY Post-Game Show, the Mets have acquired Trot Nixon from the Diamondbacks for cash and/or a player to be named later. Nixon was hitting .309/.437/.558 in the PCL for the Diamondbacks' AAA team, the Tucson Sidewinders. It's expected that Nixon will join the team in time for tomorrow's game....

As a resident of New Orleans, I have a vested interest in the Mets affiliation with the New Orleans Zephyrs. According to John Delcos of The Journal News, the Mets have placed Ryan Church on the DL.  The move comes nearly three weeks after Church suffered a concussion against the Braves on May 21st....
