My golly, what a wacky day it was in the House. I'm sorry I didn't have time to blog it, because there was lots of weird goings-on. I'd been predicting that the session would end on Thursday, and all indications were that would happen.How quickly things change.It now seems quite clear that this session will end tomorrow (Tuesday). The government is jettisoning, or deferring, anything that looks to be controversial. An example would be the "restricted dog" provisions the government proposed adding to the Municipal Government Act...

When I first started this blog, my posts would be published virtually instantly.I've noticed, during this session of the House, that there can be a delay of as much as 2-3 hours between the time I post something and the time it actually gets published to the Web. I guess Blogger/Blogspot is slowing down.......

The House is scheduled to sit today from 9-11 a.m. only.The reason for the early finish is that there are a couple of events that MLAs want to attend, particularly the Red Friday "Support Our Troops" event in Bridgewater today. We had a technical glitch just before Question Period today. The microphones stopped working (some would say that's a good thing).
