Well-written, insightful if a bit coarse at times, and never shy, John Perricone's OBM is the place if you're looking for a different take on steroids and baseball. Perricone's defiant defense of Barry Bonds has won him the admiration of many readers (and lost him a few, no doubt), but his knowledge and willingness to stick out his neck make him a great read.
It's a sabremetric empire in the blogs, at least the ones I read. John doesn't do too much of that. But he watches the team like a hawk, with clear eyes. Excellent, perceptive, dyspeptic conversation about the Giants.
