This blog is for the parents of the kids I see in my practice. I was trained as a physician specializing in general pediatrics and I practiced for about 6 years as a member of a large group here in Vancouver. I enjoyed it very much, but decided to branch out into the world of alternative medicine in the year 2000.

What a treat to discover Dr. Peter Hanfileti's blog, "Principles for Parents." Dr. Hanfileti's approach to medicine recognizes the uniqueness of each child, a refreshing concept given the one-size-fits-all mentality dominating most health care establishments. I particularly liked "Foreshadowing Your Child," a parenting technique that leads children toward positive behaviors and attitudes. "Principles for Parents" is well written and organized--a great site for parents interested in helping their children flourish in today's world.
