From the second quarter to the third quarter of 2009 the prices of telecommunication services fell by 1.0 per cent. The price decrease in data consultant services was 0.4 per cent in the same period.

A total of 10 892 new enterprises were registered in Norway during the third quarter of 2009. This is a decrease of 3.4 per cent compared with the third quarter of 2008.

Public purchases of goods and services amounted to about NOK 380 billion in 2008. This is an increase of about NOK 37.7 billion, or 11 per cent, compared to 2007. Public purchases amounted to 15 per cent of the gross domestic product.

The total catch of wild salmon and sea trout in the Norwegian fjords amounted to 291 tonnes in 2009. This is 97 tonnes, or 25 per cent, less than in 2008.

The price indices for freight transport by road as well as sea transport increased by 0.3 per cent between the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2009. Storage prices, on the other hand, declined by 1.9 per cent during the same period.
