Wally, the living wall system

Nov 25, 2009
First we had “Wally” the robot and now we have “Wally, the living wall system”.  I had an uncle Wally and never associated the name with anything futuristic, but there seems to be a new wave of Wally’s in the world. Here’s the living wall system from...

Store Review: Live O in Tel-Aviv

Nov 25, 2009
I was inspired by this store’s unique display of an ancient product still very much in use today. Live O is an interesting play on the word olive.  Olive oil has been around since at least the  5th millennium BCE  providing sustenance, beauty and...

White Space: Must-Have Place Settings

Nov 25, 2009
While I’ll be setting my table tomorrow in shamrock and plum Fiestaware, I’ll undoubtedly be mixing in the odds and ends of a mismatched collection of white dinnerware. Years ago I assembled a small kit of various white pieces for food styling, but...

great
I'm always amazed at the meticulous amount of effort that goes into every Tchochkes post, from picking the house to review, to a roundup of styles. When I first found out about it, I was very excited because it's like design*sponge, only in Tel Aviv, one of my favorite cities in the world. Tchochkes is whimsical, beautiful, and takes me into a world that I don't often have the chance to travel to.
