Numerous sources are reporting this morning that Andy Pettitte will be returning to the Bronx in 2008. Pettitte declined his 1-year, $16 million dollar player option last month but always left the door open to a return. If the Yankees do succeed in dealing for stud pitcher Johan Santana, they will also likely lose centerfielder Melky Cabrera. While Cabrera is nothing special at the plate, he does provide very good to great defense. He is also young and cheap.
