what I learned at the cooking class – part II: class design

Jul 2, 2009
This is part II of what I learned at the cooking class.  Part I covered the actual cooking parts. As we were finishing up our last rotation on the grill, waiting for the corn to finish, I asked one of the instructors how they came up with their ideas...

what I learned at the cooking class – part I: the cooking

Jul 2, 2009
When Chris bought our Big Green Egg, it came with a coupon for a free cooking class at the store where we bought it.  We’ve taken a couple of awesome classes there before, and yesterday evening, we cashed in the coupon and took a class on grilling...

Farm share and shared risk

Jun 30, 2009
We’ve been members of a CSA (community supported agriculture, also called farm shares) for 3 years now, though this year we changed to a new farm.  Our share gets us a weekly delivery of whatever fresh produce the farm happens to have harvested...

great
I have been a reader of this emerging blog for some time now and I enjoy visiting it and seeing what the latest post may be about as the variety of topics covered is very broad. The posts contain musings of a wife, mother, librarian and a gentle spirit whose personality shines through the writing. I particularly enjoy the photographs that gives us readers a bird's eye view of the times and travails of this young family. The theme chosen for this blog is appropriate to the eclectic content. The blog is well organized, accessible, easily navigated and the sidebar is clutter free. I like what I see and what I see is a great deal of potential for growth.
