Actor Alec Baldwin is vain when it comes to body image. And he doesn't care who knows it.
"I have a great ass, if I may say so," the It's Complicated actor, 51, tells Entertainment Weekly in its annual holiday movie preview issue, out Friday. "That's a part of my body that needs no surgical enhancement or rearranging."
Still, Baldwin, who turned to an "ass double" when he had to to show off his derriere in the new comedy, out Christmas Day, says he wouldn't rule out getting cosmetic enhancements.
Girls Gone Wild mastermind Joe Francis wormed his way out of trouble yet again, as a judge let him off with time served and a year of probation for filing false income tax returns and bribing Nevada jail workers, the AP reports. Letting him off the hook for savagely manhandling Playboy Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole just wasn't enough legal luck for him, apparently.
Last week authorities were planning to extradite actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid after they failed to appear, yet again, in court. It looks like the Quaid’s have dodged that bullet after posting bond in the amount of $20,000 each.
They may be safe for the moment, but their next scheduled court appearance is on December 15th.
After her appearance on Good Morning America earlier this week, Jesse James sent a message to his ex: Leave my wife Sandra Bullock out of the custody dispute.

Universal has debuted yet another trailer for Nancy Meyers' It's Complicated, the adult comedy starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, and a whole handful of others. Oprah Winfrey has decided to remove singer BeBe Winans from her talk show amid debate that she was showing him in light of his domestic violence incident. "BeBe will not be appearing on the 'Oprah' show until his legal matters are resolved in court," said a rep for the talk show. Winan was arrested and charged with domestic violence in February for allegedly pushing his ex-wife Debbie to the ground during an argument over custody of their two children. Debbie called Winfrey a hypocrite for having him on the show and was said to be "hurt" by his appearances.
Mental health groups are upset by the Halloween episode of The Office, in which hapless boss Michael Scott (Steve Carell) slips his neck into a hangman's noose during a haunted house.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and other organizations have come out against the Oct. 29 show and what the organizations call an irresponsible, dangerous stunt on the NBC series. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is coming out against Wednesday's "South Park" episode that attempted to re-define the word "fag."

Rock band No Doubt has filed a real-world lawsuit over its virtual role in the just-released Band Hero edition of the Guitar Hero video game series, claiming that the game has “transformed No Doubt band members into a virtual karaoke circus act,” singing dozens of songs the group neither wrote, popularized nor approved for use in the game.
In a suit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, the band alleges that Santa Monica-based Activision, the maker of the game, has far exceeded the contractually approved use of likenesses, or avatars, of band members Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young.

I think I may speak for everyone when I say that this is a complete disappointment. Ziba Design helped create the massive exhibition, "China Design Now," which is reaching beyond museum walls and spidering into Portland, Oregon. For the last few weeks, Steve McCallion has reported on how the experience transformed the city.
As I mentioned in previous posts, the Portland Art Museum brought China Design Now, the London Victoria & Albert exhibit, to Portland to attract a new audience and elevate Portland's cultural discourse to a global level. The exhibition documents China's impressive advancement in graphics, fashion and design over the last 20 years.

Sarah Amos is an artist with a consummate mastery of printmaking. In this new body of work, her third show at Cynthia Reeves Gallery in Chelsea, she pits macro against micro, playing bold, dramatic shapes against delicate forms and textures. In her handsome, large-format prints, shapes that resemble beaded curtains or louvered shutters both define the surface and tantalize, giving us a peek but limiting our visual access to the space behind and below.
