Amy Winehouse’s friends say she wants butt implants

These are photos from last week, as Amy Winehouse was leaving a doctor’s office. Many sites theorized that Amy had gone in for lip injections, and I could see it. Her lips are usually pretty full, but they look a lot bigger in these photos. Add to that her recent breast implants (which her dad confirmed, and which she drunkenly “showed off” at the Q Awards a few weekends ago).   comment Comment

Pam Anderson Demands Special Lighting to Mask Ugliness

Page Six asks this morning, “Are Pamela Anderson’s famous looks fading?” I think it’s pretty safe to say they were being completely sarcastic. Bitch looks like she got walloped with the business end of the ugly stick. Page ...  comment Comment

WHY?? James, you can do so much better than a soap opera! Well, according to James in a brief interview...  comment Comment

Carrie Prejean was on the FOX News’ Sean Hannity show to talk about her new book, Still Standing. Unfortunately for her, the topic of discussion was centered on her solo sex tape scandal, bringing the XXX discussion talk to your TV. A casting notice was made public today indicating that the record-breaking musical American Idiot is definitively planning a move to Broadway. No dates or theater details have been announced yet. Just as the characters in Green Day's rock musical American Idiot search for meaning in a chaotic world, so do the fans of that show's score seek an answer to a larger question: When is it coming to Broadway? A casting notice made public on Nov. 9 indicates that producers are indeed planning a Broadway move for the hot-selling...  comment Comment
Do not mess with Paris Hilton's intelligence, it's a definite sore spot for the socialite. Paris Hilton is threatening a New Zealand billboard company for using her image without permission. The heiress was left fuming after she discovered her picture is being used to advertise vacant billboard space in Auckland.  comment 1 Comment
The people have spoken--and they love Vampires! Not surprisingly 'Twilight' snagged the most nominations for the 2010 People's Choice Awards. The ‘Twilight’ franchise stars earn six nods while it's TV counterpart, ‘True Blood’ receives three. Fans cast more than 18 million votes online to select the nominee slate and will also choose the winners in 35 categories.  comment 1 Comment

According to Latino Review, the proposed production of OLDBOY which was going to star Will Smith and be directed by Steven Spielberg is dead. Done. Not going to happen. This is one that I am very happy to see get dropped into the trash can for all eternity. I don't understand why every foreign movie of any consequence has to be Americanized.  comment Comment
CBS has picked up a new comedy based on the ramblings of someone's father from a Twitter account called Shit My Dad Says. The title will likely change when it gets to the small screen. Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are behind it so it has some legs.  comment 1 Comment
We're going to pump the brakes after that headline because there's a lot of rumor manure to sift through. Earlier today Mania reported a big rumor that Black Cat would be the new villain in Spider-Man 4, and that Rachel McAdams (of The Notebook and Wedding Crashers fame) was the frontrunner for the role. However, this seemed to be just another in a long line of ridiculous villain rumors, but then our friends at SlashFilm found a post in The Observer regarding actress/columnist Romola Garai, who revealed she had an audition for a role in Spider-Man 4. But is she auditioning for Black Cat or a supposed new female lead?  comment 2 Comments
Sometimes it’s hard to be a celebrity. November 2009 is one of them. Chances are, stars will, at some point this month, be asked if they’re on Team Edward or Team Jacob. I myself asked The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder to enter the debate recently during a Pop Culture Personality Test interview (so totally legit line of questioning!), and having never read the books or seen the first film, he was unable to choose a side.  comment 1 Comment

Singer Rihanna, who looked absolutely stunning in an asymmetrical white dress (photos below), won the Glamour award for ‘Woman Of The Year’ for her courage and honesty after being brutally beaten by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in a ceremony held at Carnegie Hall in New York on Monday (November 9). “I love being a part of a night where we’re celebrating woman and such strong women...  comment Comment
I need to admit something: I have watched Lady Gaga’s video for “Bad Romance” five times in a row now and I have no intention of stopping. That felt good. Thanks for being there for me, Music Mix-ers. I really feel your support. But honestly this video is AHHHHHMAZING.  comment Comment
Jennifer Lopez is triumphing in her fight to keep an ex-husband from releasing a movie about their short-lived marriage - a judge has granted a temporary ban blocking the film's production. Ojani Noa, who was married to the star between 1997 and 1998, is preparing a satirical documentary, entitled How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story, which includes footage the couple shot during their honeymoon, which shows Lopez in sexual situations. Lopez is claiming breach of contract and suing her ex for $10 million in damages, citing a confidentiality agreement he signed before their wedding promising not to publish details of their relationship.  comment 1 Comment

By now, most of you have seen it: Tonight's ménage à truhhhbuuuhhhl. It was pretty lame tame, right? But fear you not, next week things will get much saucier via flashbacks of the ménage-à-shocker as the three little birds piece together what happened. So what happens next on Gossip Girl? Are D and O over? What about V? And what's this about a certain Miss Lady Gaga getting in on the threeway action?  comment Comment
ust when I thought network programming was so bad that it had to be done by a bunch of drunk monkeys (see: NBCSucks), ABC goes and proves me wrong by moving Ugly Betty to Wednesday nights, rectifying their bone-headed mistake of moving the show to Fridays. Kristin at E! reported it as as a rumor this morning, but a source very close to the show has confirmed to AfterElton.com the move is definite although the time hasn't been decided for sure.  comment Comment
ABC has picked up five more episodes of Tuesday night crime drama "The Forgotten" while deciding against ordering additional episodes of Wednesday's "Eastwick." The Christian Slater procedural has been the stronger of the duo, both of which are produced by Warner Bros. and air at 10 p.m. "Eastwick" will finish production on 13 episodes and ABC plans to run them all.  comment 2 Comments

February is a month for love, and there is no greater love than a fan's love of Star Trek, so it's appropriate that Atari and Cryptic announce a February release date for Star Trek Online. Star Trek Online is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game based in the near future, or at least the near future of the Star Trek universe. Players become high-ranking Starfleet officers, customizing their ships and boldly going many different places, both in space on planet side.  comment Comment
Tom Watson, a member of British Parliament, has developed a sort of folk hero status among European gamers this morning. It's about time! I know 'Twilight' probably wouldn't make the list for Oprah's Book Club, but the series is so popular, it seems only fitting that Stephenie Meyer should appear on 'Oprah'! And now she will, according to a message she posted on her website. You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception.  comment Comment
Lev Grossman’s The Magicians has been billed as “Harry Potter for grown-ups.” However, this is not “Harry Potter and the All-Weekend Kegger Where Things Got a Little Weird.” No. The Magicians provides serious social commentary. It is capital “L” Literature. It just happens to involve a school where young adults learn magic and a mysterious Narnia-like parallel world full of wonder and intrigue. If those ideas seem mutually exclusive to you, this is not the book for you.  comment Comment
Ziba Design helped create the massive exhibition, "China Design Now," which is reaching beyond museum walls and spidering into Portland, Oregon. For the last few weeks, Steve McCallion has reported on how the experience transformed the city. As I mentioned in previous posts, the Portland Art Museum brought China Design Now, the London Victoria & Albert exhibit, to Portland to attract a new audience and elevate Portland's cultural discourse to a global level. The exhibition documents China's impressive advancement in graphics, fashion and design over the last 20 years.  comment Comment
