A Christmas Tale is a 2008 French comedy/drama film directed by Arnaud Desplechin. The film explores the struggles of the Vuillard family over the course of a holiday reunion. Desplechin wrote the scenario and dialogue of the film with Emmanuel Bourdieu. Gregoire Hetzel provided music for the 150-minute film. Catherine Deneuve and Jean-Paul Roussillon star as Junon and Abel Vuillard. Anne Consigny, Mathieu Amalric, and Melvil Poupaud play the Vuillard children.
