Al Harrington was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 25th pick in the 1998 NBA draft and was selected straight from high school. In his senior year of high school he was named USA Today player of the year. After six seasons with the Pacers, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks until being traded back to the Pacers before the 2006-07 season.
Early in 2007 he was again traded, this time to the Golden State Warriors, where he had one up and down season, before coach Don Nelson to be traded again. In November of 2008 he was traded to the New York Knicks for Jamal Crawford. Through his first 17 games as a Knick he is averaging a career high in points per game, at 20.
