
Alec Baldwin is an American actor and the most famous of the Baldwin brothers. Alec’s brothers Billy, Stephen, and Daniel are all actors who have achieved some degree of stardom as well.
He rose to prominence after appearing in such films as Beetlejuice and The Hunt for Red October. In his personal life, Baldwin was married to actress Kim Basinger for almost ten years before the relationship ended in 2002. The met on the set of the film The Marrying Man, and they would later co-star again together in the film The Getaway. The couple had a daughter together, who became a matter of dispute when the couple separated.
Baldwin is actively involved in politics. He has been very vocal about many political subjects including PETA and the Bush presidency. He has been critical of (as well as criticized by) many prominent members in political commentary, including Bill O’Reilly, Matt Drudge, and the Fox News Network.
