Erick Dampier entered the NBA as the 10th pick of the Indiana Pacers in 1996. He played there for one season, before being sent to Golden State on August 12, 1997. Dampier would then spend 7 years there till 2004, being signed by Dallas as a free agent following the 04 season, playing there since then.
He has struggled as a player throughout his career, not being able to garner any major accolades, only averaging about 8 points a game for his career. Erick is not married, and in his spare time runs a summer basketball camp, and the Erick Dampier foundation as a way to give back to youth in Mississippi.
