Andy Hallett was an American singer and actor. He was best known as the character Lorne in the television series Angel. He appeared as Lorne in over 70 episodes between 2000 and 2004. He died of heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on March 29, 2009. He was 33-years of age. He had battled heart disease for five years. His father, Dave Hallett, was at his side. Hallett was known as the singing demon and was a fan favorite of the Buffy spin-off Angel. Hallett was also a talented musician; he spent his post-Angel years working on his music career and played shows around the U.S. He is the second cast member of Angel to pass away. The first cast member to pass away was Glenn Quinn. He played a half-demon named Doyle in Season One and passed away in 2002.
