Anfernee Hardaway - NBA Basketball

Anfernee Hardaway image Few players in NBA have the commercial success Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway enjoyed throughout his career. In addition to a popular sneaker line, Hardaway made several television appearances throughout the 1990s on late-night talk shows, sitcoms and dramas. In 1994, he even made an appearance at the movies in the feature "Blue Chips". The four-time All-Star never won a championship, but did help the USA take home the Gold Medal at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Penny Hardaway's career was plagued by injuries, that reduced the overall productivity of his 10-year NBA career and caused him to be traded quite a few times. He played for the Orlando Magic from 1993-1999 and 2006-2007, the Phoenix Suns from 1999-2004, the New York Knicks from 2004-2006, and the Miami Heart from 2007-2008. He retired from the NBA in December 2007 when he was waived by the Miami Heat. In 2008 he donated one million dollars to Memphis State University, and since retirement has been active in charity work.
