The Arizona Cardinals are a professional football team in the National Football League. They came into the league in 1920. Presently they play in University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The team logo is cardinal red, black, white, and yellow and features the profiled head of a cardinal.
Notable Arizona Cardinals of past and present include Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Steve Breaston, Edgerrin James, Tim Hightower, Matt Leinart, Larry Wilson, Pat Tillman, J. V. Cain, Marshall Goldberg, and Dick Lane. They play in the NFC West Division with such teams as the
St. Louis Rams,
San Francisco 49ers, and
Seattle Seahawks. They have never won a Super Bowl, although they will play in the 2009 Super Bowl against the
Pittsburgh Steelers.
