Artis Gilmore was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1971, he played with a unpretentious style and was considered by his peers to be the strongest man in the NBA. Gilmore has made 11 All-Star games in his career and boasts an impressive .599 career field goal percentage. In his first season, Gilmore won the MVP award as well as the Rookie of the Year award. He also won the ABA championship with the Colonels in 1975.
Despite having success careers in the ABA as well as the NBA, ranks among the top 25 all-time scorers, top 10 in blocked shots and rebounds, Artis Gilmore has yet to be elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
