The Atlanta Thrashers are an Eastern Conference, Southeast Division NHL hockey team based in Atlanta Georgia. Founded in 1999, it marked the return of the NHL to Georgia since the Atlanta Flames left in 1980. To date, they have won 1 division championship but no conferences or Stanley Cups. Their home court is the Philips Arena and the current head coach is John Anderson. The Thrashers are owned by the Atlanta Spirit, LLC.
