Nicolas Cage stars in the 2008 crime film Bangkok Dangerous. The film was directed by the Pang Brothers and is a remake of their original 1999 debut film. The working title of the film is Big Hit in Bangkok and also Time to Kill. Filming began in Bangkok on August 2006. The movie was financed by Initial Entertainment Group and Lionsgate purchased its North America distribution rights. Bangkok Dangerous was release in the United States on September 5, 2008. Other actors in the film include, Charlie Yeung and Chakrit Yamnam. The screenplay was written by The Pang Brothers along with Jason Richman. The film’s budget was set at $45 million and the total box office revenue reached $38.6 million.
