Battlestar Galactica (2004) is a reimagining of the 1978 TV series of the same name. This version follows the battle between the last remaining humans from the 12 Colonies of Kobol and a robotic race (some designed to look and act human) called Cylons. The Cylons, created by humans to serve them, evolve to to fully sentient beings and seek revenge against the human race. The remaining humans go in search of the 13th colony: Earth.
The show has been highly praised and has been on numerous "Best" lists. It as won and Emmy and the prestigious Peabody Award. The Sci-Channel series is set to end in 2009.
