Beauty and the Geek was a reality show on The WB/The CW that ran from 2005 to 2008. Produced by
Ashton Kutcher, the show was labeled as "the ultimate social experiment." Geeks, socially awkward guys who were known for their intellect, were paired up with Beauties, women who mainly relied on their looks and and aren't' too intellectual, for chance to win $25,000.
The Geek and Beauty share a room in the house where the competition takes place. Together, they must find a way to get along and complete various challenges. The Geeks must complete challenges that test them in pop culture and social interaction, and the Beauties mus complete challenges that test them intellectually.
The show allows for two people who have nothing in common, bond over the experience and help them see that there is more to a persona than just a label. Each week a couple is voted out until there is only one left.
