The
BMW 5 series is a mid-size luxury car built by German automaker
BMW. First introduced in 1972, it comes in both a sedan and touring style body. The 5 Series also holds the distinction of being the first
BMW to include the 3 digit naming scheme still in use today. It is now currently in its fifth generational design phase.
Power is provided by a variety of engines ranging from a 2.0L I4 to a 5.0L I6. Body styles range from a 4-door sedan to a 4-door station wagon. Like the 3 series, the 5 is able to balance a daily driver with a high performance car.
