The
BMW 6 Series are a series of vehicles developed by German automaker
BMW. Introduced in 1976, they share similar design cues with the 5-series and are available in both convertible and coupe configurations. The 6 Series ultimately fills the model left with the discontinuation of the 8-series in 1999.
Power is currently provided by either a 3.0L I6 or a 4.8 L V8 mated to a 6
speed manual or automatic transmission. A 3.0L
diesel I6 is also optional.
