
Brevin Knight started his NBA career with the
Cleveland Cavaliers as the 16th pick in the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft. Knight led his high school team
Seton Hall Preparatory School to the New Jersey state championship. He had a glorious career at
Stanford where he was an all-time leader in assists and steals and third all-time in scoring. In his rookie season with the
Cleveland Cavaliers, he led the NBA in steals per game and was selected into the NBA All-Rookie First Team. After the rookie season, his play was disappointing and was traded throughout the NBA. He played for many different NBA teams, the
Atlanta Hawks, the
Memphis Grizzlies, the
Phoenix Suns, the
Washington Wizards, the
Milwaukee Bucks and the
Charlotte Bobcats. During the 2004-05 season. he was one of the best players for the Bobcats. In that season, Knight was second in the league in assists per game. In August 2007, Knight signed a 2-year contract with the
Los Angeles Clippers, but was later traded to the
Utah Jazz.
