Bulletproof Monk - Movie Comedies

Bulletproof Monk image Paul Hunter directed the martial arts movie Bulletproof Monk which was released on April 16, 2003 by Metro Goldwyn Mayer. Gotham Chopra, Terence Chang, and Caroling Macauley produced the film and Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris wrote the screenplay. The movie was filmed in Canada.

The story came from a comic book written by Michael Avon Oeming. In it a Tibetan monk, the monk with no name is the keeper of a scroll which has unlimited power. It is time to pass on the duties as scrollkeeper when he turns 60. Chow Yun-Fat plays the monk and Seann William Scott plays Kar, the young protegee. The movie cost $52 million to make and grossed $37 million.
