The Chevrolet Aveo is a subcompact car built by
GM Daewoo, the Korean subsidiary of General Motors. First introduced in 2002, it is marketed globally and is known as the Daewoo Kalos in most of the world. The name “Kalos” is Greek for “beautiful.”
Power is provided by a variety of 1 liter 4 cylinder engines mated to a manual or automatic transmission. Configurations include both a hatchback and sedan model. It does not compete effectively along the lines of features, performance, safety, or even fuel economy. The Aveo’s main appeal lies in the fact that it’s a very inexpensive car with an MSRP starting at around $10,000.
