Christian Lacroix is a French fashion designer famous for his opulent designs, plunging necklines and rose print fabrics.
Born in Arles, France, Lacroix started sketching historical costumes at an early age. In 1978, Lacroix joined French firm Hermes. He moved to the fashion house of Jean Patou in 1981 and later opened his own ready-to-wear and couture shop in 1987.
Between 1989 and the present, Lacroix has introduced the following lines: jewelry, handbags, shoes, eyewear, denim, fragrance, lingerie, menswear, and children.
