Her music career has turned out such hits as “Genie in a Bottle”, “What a Girl Wants”, “Lady Marmalade”, “Dirrty”, and “Beautiful”. She is known for her frequently changing persona which has come a long way since her innocent girl persona that rivaled
Britney Spears in their early years.
She is also known for her strong vocals. She is said to have a vocal range of four octaves, even extending into the range of a whistle. Some accuse her of over-singing many of her songs, and her trademark ‘finger waves’ have been the subject of ridicule and parody.
