
Chucky Atkins started his NBA career in 1999 with the
Orlando Magic. He made an immediate impact playing all the games he averaged 9 points and 4 assists each game. He then played for the
Detroit Pistons due to a deal in July, 2000. Then in the middle of 2003-04 season, he was traded to the
Boston Celtics. In a multi-player deal in 2004, Atkins was sent to the
Los Angeles Lakers. In the 2005 off-season he was traded to the
Washington Wizards. In 2006, he signed as a free agent with
Memphis Grizzlies and averaged in double figures throughout the 1/2 season stay. In 2007 he signed with the
Denver Nuggets as a free agent. He did not make any notable contribution in 2007-08 season as he was plagued with a hernia injury. On January 7,2009 he was traded to
Oklahoma City Thunder.
