
Claire Danes (born April 12, 1979) is a television, film, and stage actress made famous by her starring role in My So-Called Life, a teen drama airing in the mid 1990s. Once a psychology major at Yale, Danes dropped out to focus on her film career.
Since playing Angela Chase in My So-Called Life (for which she won a Golden Globe in 1995), Danes has been nominated for and won various awards for her performance in films such as Romeo + Juliet, Little Women, The Hours, and Shopgirl.
Currently dating british co-star Hugh Dancy, Danes has been romantically linked to Australian singer Ben Lee and actors Billy Crudup, Andrew Dorff, and
