The Cleveland Indians are a Major League Baseball team and one of the league’s oldest franchises. Currently they play in Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The team logo is a controversial figure, a red, blue, and white depiction of a Native American.
Notable Cleveland Indians of past and present include Kenny Lofton, Jim Thome, C.C. Sabathia, Manny Ramirez, and Travis Hafner. They play in the American League Central Division with such teams as the
Chicago White Sox,
Detroit Tigers,
Kansas City Royals, and
Minnesota Twins. The last time they won the World Series was in 1948 against the Boston Braves. The Cleveland Indians are featured prominently in the movie “Major League”, about a comical baseball team.
