Coppertone -

Coppertone, a brand name of skin suntan and sun protection products, dates back to 1944 but gained its popularity in 1953 because of its Coppertone girl advertisement. It is owned by Schering-Plough Health Care Products which started as Schering Corporation in the late 1800's and as US subsidiary of a German company named Schering AG. It had evolved as its name today in the 1940's.

Coppertone at present is still known for its advanced solutions in protecting skin against UV rays and its campaign against skin cancer, a serious health problem faced today. Coppertone is famous for its suntan lotions and sunscreen sprays both for kids and adults.
