Daimler is an automobile manufacturer based in Stuttgart, Germany. It is the world’s largest truck maker and the 13th largest auto maker. It was formally known as DaimlerChrysler, owing to the partnership with American automaker Chrysler that lasted from 1998 to 2007. Brands of note operated by Daimler are Mercedes Benz, Maybach, Smart, and Freightliner. The Daimler name goes back almost a century to the early years of Germany's auto industry.
