Dave Bing was a guard drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 1966 with the second overall pick. Bing was a 7-time all star and was selected for the hall of fame in 1990. He is also one of the 50 greatest players of all time. Bing won Rookie of the Year title in 1967. . Dave Bing playing style was uncommon in his time. At the point guard position, he did his job as the play maker, but he also shot and scored more than most others in that position. Bing retired from basketball in 1978 and entered the business world, eventually starting a steel company.
