Disclosure was released by Warner Brothers on December 9, 1994 to rave reviews.

The film's budget was $55 million and it grossed over $214 million at the box office. Several brilliant actresses were considered as the female lead such as Annette Bening, Geena Davis, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Annette Bening was picked for the leading female role but had to back out due to an unplanned pregnancy.
