Akira Kurosawa wrote and directed the 1990 film Dreams. Akira Terao, Martin Scorsese, Mitsunori Isaki, Chishu Ryu, and Mieko Harada are the stars in the movie. The movie is based on the real dreams of Kurosawa at different stages in life. Dreams is based more on imagery than on dialogues. The movie consists of various dreams of Kurosawa throughout his life.
The dreams are categorized in eight segments in the following order:-Sunshine Through The Rain, The Peach Orchard, The Blizzard, The Tunnel, Crows, Mount Fuji in Red, The Weeping Demon,and Village of the Watermills. Principal filming was done at locations in Gotemba, Shizuoka in Japan. Warner Bros. released the movie on May 11,1990. The film was made in Japanese, French and English languages.
